FY10 Encumbrances

As we closed out FY09, we discovered remaining pre-encumbrance and encumbrance balances on a number of chart strings.

  • In order to close out the year, we posted a journal for each chart string for the amount listed so that the chart string would balance to $0 for FY09.
  • During the October monthly close we finished analyzing FY10 pre-encumbrance and encumbrance balances to determine what types of adjustments (if any) needed to be made to the affected chart strings. The adjustments are now complete.

The Excel file below has two sheets:

  1. Non-multi-year chart strings that required a pre-encumbrance adjustment in FY10
  2. Non-multi-year chart strings that required an encumbrance adjustment in FY10
